Sourcing scope
Rice: coordinated sourcing for qualified buyers
XTO GROUP INC does not farm, mill, own or stock rice. XTO reviews a defined grade and packaging requirement, reviews potential suppliers against it and coordinates documentation, logistics and payment structure. Long grain white, parboiled, brown and speciality grades are treated as separate requirements.
Buyer requirements
- Registered commercial entity able to provide trade and bank references.
- Defined grade, broken percentage and packaging format.
- Named receiving party and destination-market import requirements.
- Programme volume and a realistic delivery window.
- Acceptance of documented Incoterms and a bank-verified payment structure.
Commercial information required to review a requirement
- Specification
- Long grain white, parboiled or brown; broken percentage (for example 5%, 15%, 25%), moisture, purity, crop year and sortex requirement.
- Packaging
- 5 kg or 25 kg bags, 50 kg bags or 1 MT jumbo bags, with marking, palletisation and label responsibility.
- Quantity
- Trial container volume and monthly programme volume.
- Origin
- Acceptable origins and any origin restrictions.
- Destination
- Discharge port or inland delivery point and appointed customs broker.
- Timing
- First shipment window and shipment cadence thereafter.
- Incoterm
- FOB, CFR, CIF or DAP as required.
- Payment terms
- Proposed instrument and issuing bank for a documented payment structure.
Documentation and logistics
XTO coordinates commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation and quality or weight inspection documents as the destination market requires, and coordinates booking and shipment scheduling with the service providers appointed by the parties. XTO does not operate vessels, trucks or warehouses.
